Radical Masters

Radical’s premier single-marque championship goes from
strength-to-strength in 2010 with a revised calendar, offering more track time than ever at some of the world’s most challenging circuits.
With new sponsor Shell Racing Solutions supporting the series and supplying all series fuel and lubricants, the Radical European Masters will be the headline act at three rounds of this year’s
six-event calendar. These ‘Radical World Series’ events offer up to ten hours of track time per weekend, including the usual two qualifying sessions, and two races. This year, races have been extended from 40 to 50 minutes. Other rounds will run alongside the internationally-followed Le Mans Series.
The Radical European Masters’ new alliance with Shell Racing Solutions means that Radical can offer all competitors an exclusive paddock jacket and merchandise, as part of the competitive entry fees. As well as this and Radical’s usual spares and technical support trackside, suspension partner Intrax will also be attending each event with a mobile shock absorber dynamometer, and free advice on car setup.

Radical Masters: Spa-Francorchamps, Race 2
9th May 2010
The 360 Racing pairing of Terrence Woodward and Ross Kaiser made it a weekend to remember this morning, taking the second win of the Shell Racing Solutions Radical Masters event at Spa-Francorchamps. Fellow 360 Racing driver Stuart Moseley led the field into Eau Rouge on the first lap, but his pace began to drop off as the race progressed, and by lap 6 Woodward had passed for the lead, maintaining a comfortable buffer all the way to the pitstops. Radical Masters newcomer Gavin Kershaw was doing a sterling job in the Slim Racing SR8, putting the car into a secure second-position for the handover to Christian Droop. The Radical Works Team SR8...
Radical Masters: Spa-Francorchamps, Race 1
8th May 2010
Radical’s 2010 international season kicked off in style this afternoon, with 360 Racing’s pairing of Terrance Woodward and Ross Kaiser taking a dominant win at Spa-Francorchamps. Race one saw a clean getaway into La Source, with all cars emerging unscathed. Jamie Patterson had the initial lead, his SR8 LM with the legs into Eau Rouge, over Kaiser’s SR8 Supersport. However, Kaiser’s late-braking manoeuvre after Kemmel handed him the lead, a lead which he maintained to the end of the race. Behind the leading pairing, Roger Bromiley was initially third. Pre-weekend UK Cup leader Derek Johnston was fo...
Radical Masters Is Go!
7th May 2010
Competitors in the Shell Racing Solutions Radical Masters and Competition Car Insurance Radical UK Cup went out in force at Spa-Francorchamps this morning, the wet weather failing to deter the drivers from trying out Belgium’s legendary track for the first time in 2010. The full current Radical range was represented on-track, from the mighty SR8 LM, to the compact and agile SR4s used by a brace of Czech competitors. Also out on-track for the first time was the American pairing of Don Simons and Tim Day, and the visiting Australia driver, Nick Kelly. In all, 46 Radicals are competiting this weekend, and whilst the weather doesn’t seem ...
Radical Masters @ Spa: Third Practice
7th May 2010
The final practice session of the Radical Masters/Radical UK Cup event at Spa has just finished, with the 360 Racing pairing of Derek Johnston and Stuart Moseley topping the timesheets. The 2009 Radical European Masters and Radical UK Cup Champions were fastest in their SR8, setting a fastest time of 2m17.886s, less than two seconds ahead of team-mates Terrance Woodward and Ross Kaiser. SR8s locked out the first thirteen places on the overall grid, but the other classes were also extremely close. Per Staaf, one of Radical Sweden’s PR6s, was the fastest Prosport, whilst the Radical Works Team duo of David Thorburn and Rob Wheldon mirro...
Radical Masters @ Spa: Qualifying Report
7th May 2010
Qualifying for the first round of the 2010 Shell Racing Solutions Radical Masters is now complete, setting the grids for both this afternoon’s Race 1, and tomorrow morning’s Race 2. Ross Kaiser will start on pole for Race 1, setting a time of 2:17.666 in his SR8. Jamie Patterson lines up alongside, driving alone with Bell End Racing this weekend. Radical’s acclaimed SR8s have locked out the top twelve positions on the grid, but with a class-based championship, it’s still all to play for. Radical Sweden’s brace of PR6s made sure they were at the front of the queue to leave the pits when the session started. Having a clearly track...

5th May 2010
Peterborough sportscar manufacturer is scaling up for its busiest-ever weekend, with a record 78 cars in action over the next four days at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, and Snetterton in the UK. Radical’s pan-European series, the Shell Racing Solutions Radical Masters, kicks off at the legendary Belgian circuit, and will be joined by competitors from the Competition Car Insurance Radical UK Cup.
