Clubman's Cup

Radical Clubmans Cup

With new sponsorship from Radical’s longstanding technical partner Quaife, the 2010 Quaife Radical Clubman’s Cup looks set to be a vintage year for Radical’s entry-level series.

Popular with rookie racers and established club drivers alike, this year will see Quaife providing high-quality jackets and merchandise for competitors, in a series that last year featured packed grids, close racing and great camaraderie.

The amateur-only Clubman’s Cup will feature eight rounds, and an unprecedented 20 races, with selected rounds offering up to four races per weekend. Several rounds will be televised and available to view on Radical’s web TV service, and all will see Radical and Powertec offering consistent technical and spares support.

Quaife Radical Clubman's Cup: Rockingham, 10 April 2010

10th April 2010

Darren Luke showed a clean pair of heels to his rivals, with two lights to flag victories in the opening Radical Club Cup rounds at Rockingham. It was almost like a return to 2009 with Luke, Jonathan Wright and Colin Millar topping the times in qualifying. All had new machinery for this season, Luke and Wright in PR6’s and defending champion in an SR3 RS. Luke made a superb getaway at the start of race one, from Wright, returnee Steven Lindsay’s PR6, Millar and Paul Marsham’s SR3. Lindsay had caused some confusion on the parade lap, sprinting away from the pack. “I thought it was the start and what a good one I&r...

Intermittent rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of drivers at Radical’s second official pre-season test, held at Brands Hatch, Kent yesterday. Radical Back On-Track At First Official Test

10th March 2010

Competitors in Radical’s two UK championships got a first chance to test on UK soil this year, when the first official test for the Competition Car Insurance Radical UK Cup and Quaife Radical Clubman’s Cup took place at Snetterton yesterday. With a packed paddock, it was an opportunity for many racers to get a first taste of new machinery, and 12 new-for-2010 cars took to the track during the day’s Radical-only track sessions. Amongst them were eight new drivers to the series, from both the UK and overseas. The new 360 Racing pairing of Sami Suominem and Luigi Gatti had travelled from Finland and Italy respectively.
