2011 UK Cup
Building on the growing success of last year’s Radical UK Cup, the 2011 season sees an even better calendar, increased promotion and televised footage from every round, though association with new organising partner Motor Sport Vision Racing.
Radical has listened closely to competitor feedback, to offer an exciting mix of classic circuits and new challenges. Alongside an overseas round at the ever-popular Spa-Francorchamps, the 2011 Radical UK Cup takes in both new-for-2011 layouts at Snetterton, the redeveloped Silverstone Arena and Donington Park circuits. The Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit is a welcome returnee to the season, and Oulton Park marks Radical’s traditional May foray to the North-West.
The popular 40-minute enduro, two-driver race format continues in 2011, with the series welcoming both professional and amateur drivers alike. An equalisation formula means that gentleman drivers have just as much chance for glory as the pros, ensuring close racing.
Championship features:
• 2x40-minute endurance races per weekend, featuring pit-stop driver change
• Additional points for fastest lap and pole position per class
• Control tyres and series scrutineer to minimise cost and ensure equal competition
• Class structure:
o Masters: SR8 Supersport and LM (2600cc, 2700cc and 2800cc)
o Supersport: SR3 and SR3 RS

UK Cup Stalwart Shakes Down Third SR8
15th March 2010
Long-standing Radical owner Manhal Allos took delivery of his fourth car on Friday, shaking down his brand-new SR8 2.6 at a wet and windy Rockingham test day. The Sollatek driver finished fourth in the Masters class during last year’s Radical UK Cup, previously owning an SR3 before his brace of SR8s.Although conditions were less than perfect, Manhal found it easy to acquaint himself with the new car, and was soon out-pacing Porsches, BTCC cars and a host of other machinery at the shared test, assisted by former Le Mans Series champion (and Radical’s Nordschleife lap record driver) Michael Vergers.“This new car will be my 2...

2nd February 2010
As the fantastic prize for winning the Rolex 24 At Daytona Driver Challenge with Radical, 2009 UK Cup and European Masters champion Derek Johnston won a drive in a Daytona Prototype at the Rolex 24 last weekend. Derek’s mature drive to a tenth-in-class finish demonstrated why he was the right man for the prize.Although well-prepared for endurance racing by three seasons in an SR8 Supersport, Derek was undoubtably nervous ahead of his first stint, a late-night drive in the Doran Racing Dallara-Ford he shared with Memo Gidley, Fabrizio Gollin and Brad Jaeger. However, Johnston immediately settled and lapped within two seconds of t...
