2011 Clubman's Cup

The Radical Clubman’s Cup switches to Motor Sport Vision Racing (MSVR) for 2011, making Britain’s best sport-racing car formula even better than before, with an improved package of circuits, promotional activity and technical support.

Popular with rookie racers and established club drivers alike, the Radical Clubman’s Cup offers fast, affordable racing for Radical’s range of four-cylinder cars, and takes place at eight of the UK’s best-loved circuits this year. Taking in the new-for-2011 Snetterton layouts, as well as recently revised Donington and Anglesey, the 2011 Clubman’s Cup presents a fresh challenge for even the most seasoned Radical racers, whilst the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit is a welcome returnee to the calendar.

All rounds are televised through Radical’s pioneering on-demand web TV service, Radical TV, with increased marketing presence elsewhere through the new, close association with MSVR (watch the Silverstone TV pilot here). Radical’s trackside spares and technical support will continue during 2011, ensuring all competitors get the maximum mileage out of every weekend.

Quaife Radical Clubman's Cup: Castle Combe, Race Reports

20th July 2010

QUAIFE RADICAL CLUB CUP – CASTLE COMBE Having played second fiddle to Colin Millar’s SR3 at Pembrey, Darren Luke returned to his winning ways at Castle Combe. His double victory increased his PR6’s tally to ten for the season. Craig Currie’s SR3 secured pole for the first race, but only 0.401secs covered the top three, which was completed by the PR6’s of Mark Abbott and Luke. A healthy grid of 25 cars lined up in overcast conditions, with Abbott leading the charge along Avon Rise from Luke and Steven Lindsay’s PR6, as Currie was swamped and Chris Hillaby’s SR3 left at the start. “I had it s...

Quaife Radical Clubman's Cup: Castle Combe, Race 2

18th July 2010

Darren Luke took a lights-to-flag victory in the second of the weekend’s Quaife Radical Clubman’s Cup, although had it not been for a safety car period late in the race, the hard-charging Rachel Davies might have challenged for the lead.Steven Lindsay actually leapfrogged Luke at the start of the race to take the lead, with Darron Anley in tow, and Mark Abbott, having a strong weekend in his new-for-2010 PR6. 2009 series champion was also having a good race in fifth, but he couldn’t escape the pace of Davies, who passed the former champ on the outside of Camp corner on lap 5.On lap six, only a second split the top three, wit...

Quaife Radical Clubman's Cup: Castle Combe, Race 1

17th July 2010

Darren Luke showed that he’s the man to beat in this season’s Quaife Radical Clubman’s Cup, with a secure victory in Race 1 at Castle Combe, in his 1340cc PR6. With a clean start to pass polesitter Craig Currie, Luke was unchallenged all the way to the flag, with plenty of action behind.Radical rookie Currie had a slow start and was passed by Luke and Mark Abbott, dropping out of the top six. 2009 series champion Colin Millar also had a poor start, but quickly found the pace, and by lap five was lying fourth overall. Darren Anley was another improving driver, rising to fourth through the field in his older-spec SR3, briefly ...
