Radical on recruitment drive - 24 June 2008

Due to Radical's ongoing success in the global market place, Radical co-founder, Phil Abbott, has instigated a major recruitment drive. 

“We need quality staff across the company, to help us increase production and achieve efficiency and quality targets.  Successful candidates will be based in our Peterborough factory. This is a great opportunity to join the world’s largest sports racing car manufacturing team.”
  1. Production / cost analysis engineer - This is a great opportunity for a person familiar with a wide range of production techniques, including fabrication, machining and composite production, to help introduce new processes and procedures with a view to improving manufacturing efficiency  and costs.  Computer literacy is essential.

  2. Spare parts / stores personnel - Our busy parts department requires a computer-literate team player with good customer relations skills.  A good technical knowledge of the workings of a car is also essential.

  3. Engine builder
    Race engine builders - Radical’s engine building arm – Powertec Engineering – is the world’s leader in superbike engine tuning and the production of lightweight V8 engines.  Two engine builders are required to join this expanding team.  Mechanical empathy is required and engine building experience useful, but full training will be given to the right candidate.


  4. Laminator
    Wet lay-up glass fibre laminators - Radical manufacture all car bodywork in-house.  An experienced laminator is required to cope with the increased demand.  This is a great opportunity to join a growing team with good job security.





  5. Body work finishing
    Race car bodywork finishers- Radical set the standard in race car quality.  We are looking for a fibre glass body trimmer / finisher to help us maintain these high standards.  Relevant experience is required.





  6. Car Assembly
    Race team mechanics - Radical race mechanics are required to support our customers in the UK and at overseas meetings.  You will work on a range of cars including the SR8-LM – powered by a 450bhp V8 engine, manufactured in-house.  Relevant experience, mechanical empathy and being a team player are all qualities we are looking for.



  7. Car Assembly
    Race car assemblers - We are look for personnel to assemble our range of sports racing cars from the ground up.  Experience in assembling mechanical and electrical components is a requirement.  The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic team to build race cars for Radical’s world-wide market.



  8. machining
    CNC Miller - Radical in-house machining arm – Amicon Engineering is seeking time-served CNC millers to help manufacture engine and chassis components.  Amicon is the areas fastest-expanding engineering facility.





  9. machining
    CNC Turner - All of Radical’s turned components are manufactured in-house at Amicon Engineering.  A skilled Turner is required to help satisfy Radicals ever-growing demand.
