Balfe Returns To Radical

Former Spanish GT Champion Shaun Balfe will contest his first full season with the Radical Works Team this year, following testing in the works SR8 at Brands Hatch yesterday (Thursday).

This is the first time that Balfe has competed in the current-spec, high-downforce SR8, and he will be contesting the Competition Car Insurance Radical UK Cup with longstanding Radical racer Roger Bromiley in the #14 car.

Balfe has a wealth of experience with Radical, since his first outing in an SR3 six years ago. Since then, Radical's destinctive two-driver SR shape has evolved considerably, and Balfe is looking forward to the challenges that this year will pose.

"It's been a good test today; the car feels balanced and it's getting quicker all the time," said Balfe "It feels a lot faster with the additional grip, despite the poor weather."

Balfe will hit the track, along with the rest of the 2010 Competition Car Insurance Radical UK Cup competitors, at the first round at Rockingham.
