First win for Simon Tilling and the SR3 in Castle Combe Special GT’s
4th May 2009
Since Michael Vergers in a 1200cc Prosport stormed to an outright win at Castle Combe in 1999 Radicals have featured strongly in the popular Special GT series.
Radical Prosport cars still feature strongly some ten years later with Andrew Shanley regularly gracing the podium.
But last week Andrew had to settle for second with Simon Tilling in an SR3 piping him by seven seconds after a titanic battle.
Simon put his SR3 on pole for the second race in succession in this well supported and hard fought Chmpionship.
Darcy Smith stood on the third step of the podium racing in his SR4.
John Ali finished 6th in a Prosport while Martin Baker and Scott Hughes finished 7th and 8th in their Clubsports.
